Building On Opportunities for Sound Training Community Development Center (BOOST CDC), seeks to promote healthy life choices by mitigating undesired behaviors in the West Philadelphia community. BOOST’s programming will align with proven Behavioral Health techniques that improve the wellbeing of its residents and break traditional barriers. BOOST will connect underserved and disfranchised youth with resources and programing building their temperament to enhance both their mental, and social economic capacity, while encouraging community building and lifelong experiences. We plan to focus on the areas mentioned below: 1. Trainings, workshops, speaking engagements on trauma, mindfulness, healthy lifestyle choices, conflict resolution and de-escalation. 2. Engaging community leaders and stakeholders, in creating awareness of immediate concerns with youth in the West Philadelphia community by hosting them as Facilitators during the summer program. 3.Supplying tools, techniques and resources for career development, education enhancement, basic needs, and life skills for youth. 4. Providing underserved/unexpecting youth in West Philadelphia with preventive programming to increase conducive Behavioral health and life style choices
